Portuguese Host Language (PHL) 
What It is?
The Host Language Portuguese courses improve the ability to express and understand the Portuguese language, among migrant adults in Portugal, and facilitate their process of social, professional and civic integration, contributing to the prevention of discrimination based on origin and promoting equality. This measure consists of a set of training actions in Portuguese for migrants who settle in Portugal.
What are the goals?
To promote among migrant adults the ability to express and understand the Portuguese language, with a view to facilitate their social, professional and civic integration in Portuguese society.
Who is it for?
Migrant citizens, adults, aged 18 or over, unemployed or active employed, whose mother tongue is not Portuguese and/or who do not have basic, intermediate or advanced skills, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).
What is the promoting entity in Famalicão?
- The school of reference in the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão is the Camilo Castelo Branco Schools Group.
